Kuru Desert Oasis - PG Bison Competition

Kuru Desert Oasis is an experiential luxury residence incorporating the elements fire, water, earth and air. The ambient lighting, glowing candles, and cosy fireplace creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Feng Shui water elements, such as asymmetrical shapes, mirrors, wavy patterns, black accessories, a water feature, and a pool, contribute to a serene and calming ambiance. The use of natural materials, earthy textures and colours establishes a rooted connection to the surrounding natural environment. The design embraces open spaces, large windows, natural light, and appropriate ventilation to ensure a fresh and airy environment.

 

The name Kuru pays homage to the property's location in the semi-arid Karoo region and the floor plan draws inspiration from the elegant branching structure of the local Aloe Dichotoma Tree, offering unique and interconnected spaces, inviting guests to embark on a journey of exploration and discovery.
